Last week I made a stop through the meatpacking district to discover the world of À Moi during the brands NYFW F/W 15′ presentation. Alejandra Alonso, the designer for À Moi said she looked to “different cultures coming together at the dinner table” through a culinary journey of vintage cookbooks, table settings and gingham linens — as well as the works of famous painter Pablo Picasso. These looks not only translated that esthic but were able to stay cohesive through the collection. A Moi showed some amazing structured outerwear, Striped and checked fur pieces and sank hearts with the leather moto cape which was probably one of the most innovative pieces I saw at NYFW. Y’all know I am a sucker for calf hair so it’s not hard to imagine how my eyes beamed when they presented the navy calf hair suiting pieces, without a doubt a show stopper for me. The À Moi collection truly shined across the board delivering effortlessly chic day wear and unique, innovative evening staples. To see more looks from this collection click HERE!
