New year, new outfit posts, product reviews, celebrity interviews and finally coming clean about my little weight loss journey! In 2016 its all about New Years REEVALUATIONS not resolutions. What’s mine you may not be asking. Well, simply to work harder on my site, continue to expand into new platforms and be my best internal self. Working on yourself can be hard especially after a tough year with a lot of changes like my 2015 was. The first thing I knew I wanted to change once I graduated school was change my eating habits. I became a little too lenient on late night taco bell runs (Hence the taco bell joke in my IG bio), I had gone through a rough breakup so I was relaying a bit too much on comfort carbs and with my addiction of nursing on diet coke got even worse. However, all that changed last September when I threw in the towel and threw out the ice cream. To this day of Jan 12’th I have lost 26 pounds….not a ton of weight but a strong start I think. Of course as my birthday and the holidays passed I fell off a bit but with the turn of a new year I was tunnel vision on my 50 pound weight loss goal.
Today’s look is definitely a nod at my current weight loss as this All Saints jacket was my last purchase I made at my larger size. I wanted to wear it in todays post to show how you can wear oversized and give you a bit of insight into how my bigger stuff is fitting me now. I love pairing this back to leather pants (which I can wear now) with a classic white shirt. This juxtaposition makes edgy, eccentric pieces a bit more polished and clean. Grid lines have been super on trend for a while now and I think this simplistic yet chic portfolio makes a statement all on its own and without it the look may fall flat. Wear this look to dinner, drinks on your favorite bar patio or a night on the town with your best girlfriends!
