This blog is so special to me and has been such a passion for years. Its important for me to always give back and use this platform to spotlight artist’s of all sizes as well as amazing organizations that touch my heart. When art and philanthropy come together organically it’s a home run for me. Last year you may remember the Pulse Orlando T-Shirt I collaborated on with the fantastic people at Tim Scapes in P-Town! I’m coming to you this year sharing the story of someone who lived through many of our worst nightmare and is turning that pain upside down to support our community and remind us all how beautiful this life is. Angel Colon was shot six times during the #Pulse Orlando massacre that left 49 dead and more than 53 wounded. This month he is collaborating with the amazing people at La Clé on a limited edition accessory line to raise awareness for the #LGBTQIA community as well as proceeds for the Hope & Help center of central Florida. The Unlocked Project recognizes influential individuals and gives them the opportunity to design custom products to help raise money for a cause that’s close to their heart. Today Angel continues to work on his recovery and raise awareness for the LGBT community. Angel’s custom
designs includes a limited edition multi-colored key necklace and custom refocus wristband with the message “Keep Smiling” on it.
50% of the proceeds from these products will go to benefit the Hope &
Help Center of Central Florida, a cause dedicated to inspiring,
equipping and mobilizing people to take action against HIV/AIDS.
