One of the biggest trends I noticed at spring Summer 17 New York Fashion Week last season was the mixtures of textures and prints in a new way. Distressed denim and heavy bleaching will be big in 2017 but how do you elevate that? For todays look I wanted to take this trend head on and show you how I like to wear it for a casual day or dinner with friends look.
Starting with the jacket I wanted to layer it with a piece that could hold its own but not pull all the focus and begin looking messy and unrefined. A simple striped sweater was the perfect option to bring it a contrasting print but keeping it in the cool tone family helps to keep the overall look cohesive. As the temperatures warm up simply switch to a basic cotton or linen tee. To ground the look I paired it with a simple pair of army green joggers and pop of white for the shoe to keep it fluid. Switch up the jogger with a navy option but keep it as simple as possible, distresses and little added details work as long as it doesn’t distract from the overall tone.
Is this a trend your up to trying this season? Let me know what you guys think over on my Instagram Page (@ChristianCraven)
