After months of anticipation Indie Beauty Expo pulled up their boots and headed down south for IBE Dallas 2017! Indie Beauty Expo debuted in New York City in August of 2015 and has rapidly grown to become the largest professionally-curated exposition of independent beauty, lifestyle and wellness brands. To date, IBE has helped hundreds of brands from around the world and across different categories along their journey towards commercial success. During the three day event brand owners have the opportunity to mix and mingle with top executives from major retailers along with break out sessions and panels on marketing, inside sales and selling strategy. IBE was so kind to welcome me to attend as a guest speaker during their shop event that is open to the public. Along with being an influencer speaker IBE also gave me the opportunity to run a giveaway for one of my readers who won a VIP swag bag , gift card to shop the expo as well as some one-on-one time with me. (Shoutout to my girl @GoatieShorty it was so great meeting you!!!) Even though I came down with food poisoning less than 24 hours before Indie Beauty Expo I put on some concealer and made it to the festivities in good spirits (no bad batch of Taco Bueno will keep me down!)I was so excited to be apart of the Beauty Swap Panel discussing indie brand products you can swap for your favorite iconic items. It was a pleasure being among some fellow influencers who came out from around all over country. On the panel I spoke about a mens grooming brand from Europe that offers a range of artisan products made in Sicily called Big Boy. Look for Big Boy in my Top 10 products we love from Indie Beauty Expo Dallas blog post here.Wether you go to Indie Beauty Expo as a lover of small business, beauty junkie or are a green beauty connoisseur, IBE has something for you to discover. I was so blown away at the range of products that were available and even picked up a few to try out and have fallen in love with since the expo. One of the many of the things I loved about IBE was being able to meet a lot of brand owners like Jillian the co-founder of IBE (pictured above in her gorgeous pink dress) and Matt from the Dallas based brand SkinKick who told me about his passion to create a formula for acne and problematic skin with clean ingredients. Matt’s story was especially extraordinary and aspirational because he started this line as a career change in his life and it has given him the opportunity to give back to organizations close to his heart like Children’s Advocacy Centers to help abused children and the Amazon Conservation Association to protect the Amazon Rainforest. It’s no doubt that Indie Beauty Expo are pros at connecting the dots between consumers and brands. From top to bottom IBE Dallas 2017 was seamless. Follow Indie Beauty Expo for updates on when they will travel to a city near you!
